The last event I attended was "Death in Spring and The Time of the Doves: Mercè Rodoreda." It featured a reading of Mercè Rodoreda's story "The Time of the Doves" by Jessica Lange. I guess I hadn't read the event description terribly closely, as I didn't realize Jessica Lange was reading until they introduced her. I liked the story, which is told from the point of view of a woman who marries a revolutionary in the Spanish Civil War, quite a lot, but I think I was too tired to appreciate Ms.... | | | | | | | |
