TRANSLATES: German

My primary interest is in 19th- and 20th-century diaries and correspondences, particularly German immigrant letters and Holocaust-related material.

When not working on letters or books, I earn my living as a commercial translator of patents and medical articles. My published works include:

Pope and Devil, Hubert Wolf. Harvard University Press, 2010.

Self-Education for Death for the Fatherland, the excerpted diaries and letters of Udo Kraft (1915), www.kfkronenberg.com/Udo_Kraft.htm, 2009

Palace Revolution and Counterrevolution in Turkey, Paul Farkas. Istanbul: Isis Press, 2005

Freedom of the Migrant, Vilém Flusser (Anke Finger, ed.). University of Illinois Press, 2003.

"Terezín ghetto diary" of Alice Ehrmann. In Alexandra Zapruder, Salvaged Pages: Young Writers' Diaries of the Holocaust. Yale University Press, 2002.

Treating Attachment Disorders, Karl Heinz Brisch. Guilford Press, 2002.

Lives and Letters of an Immigrant Family: The Van Dreveldts’ Experiences along the Missouri, 1844-1866 (author and translator). University of Nebraska Press, 1998.
