Brenda Webster


TRANSLATES: Italian

Brenda Webster is a novelist, critic, memoirist and translator. She has published nine books including studies of Yeats and Blake, an edition of her artist mother's journals, Hungry for Light: the Journals of Ethel Schwabacher, a memoir, The Last Good Freudian, and three novels, Sins of the Mothers, Paradise Farm and The Beheading Game, which, along with her translation of Edith Bruck's lettera alla madre, was a Finalist for the Northern California Book Awards.


BIBLIOGRAPHY

Currently working on: I have just finished a new novel, Vienna Triangle, that explores Freud's role in the death of his most brilliant disciple, Viktor Tausk, and have started to translate the surgeon and Roman senator, Ignazio Marino's, Credere e Curare--Belief and Healing.
