TRANSLATES: Swedish

I received a Ph D in Germanic Languages and Historical Linguistics, specializing in the Nibelungenlied. My M.A. and B.A. are in Scandinavian languages. I began translating in 2001, and published poems by Niklas Rådström in Willow Review, World Literature Today, Swedish Book Review, and a book excerpt by Niklas Rådström in Absinthe:New European Writing. Together with Paul Norlen, I founded the Association of Swedish Translators in North America. I am also the newsletter editor for the ATA chapter in the Northwest NOTIS. I am a native of Waukegan Illinois but have been a Seattle resident for the past 20 years.
