Carol Volk


TRANSLATES: French

Carol Volk has translated over two dozen titles from the French, including literary fiction and non-fiction, philosophy, social sciences and children's literature.  After more than a decade as a literary translator, journalist, writer and UN reporter, she joined the U.S. Foreign Service in 1999, and after a tour in Tel Aviv, now lives in Washington, DC. She holds an M.A. in French literature from New York University and an M.S. in International Relations from Georgetown University. She has also studied modern French literature at the Sorbonne.
