Francisco Aragón

A native of San Francisco and long-time resident of Spain, Francisco Aragón is the author of, Puerta del Sol (Bilingual Press) and editor of, The Wind Shifts: New Latino Poetry (University of Arizona Press). His poems and translations have appeared in various anthologies, print and web publications. He is the director of Letras Latinas, the literary program of the Institute for Latino Studies (ILS) at the University of Notre Dame. He resides in Arlington, VA and works out of the ILS' offices in Washington, D.C. For more information, visit his website.

Bienvenidos/Welcome

Welcome to CANTO COSAS. Not quite sure how I'll be making use of this weblog. But I've decided to create it, using my PEN membership to have the option of blogging about subject matter that is not directly related to Letras Latinas. Having said that, I've taken as this blog's title the name of the poetry book series I'm editing for Bilingual Press and whose inaugural poet is John Olivares Espinoza. Other authors under contract are: William Archila, Steven Cordova, Brenda Cárdenas, and Naomi Ayala: looks like I'm already breaking my rule, since it's a series for Latino poets! Though it is not, strictly speaking, a Letras Latinas initiative. The RSS feed of this weblog is:
