She was formerly senior editor at Simon & Schuster, where she worked with both fiction and nonfiction authors, including the 2007 Man Booker nominee Indra Sinha, and Independent Foreign Fiction prize winner José Eduardo Agulausa.
She is a co-founder of Words Without Borders, an organization that publishes and promotes international literature.
