World Festival Starts Soon

Here is what I'll be covering this week, while musing about the importance of book culture, book critics, book reviews and book pages (see the National Book Critics Circle board's blog, Critical Mass, for launch of a new campaign to save book reviews). Without book critics who care about literature in translation and literature from other cultures, we would be isolated.
