Anne Landsman was born and raised in South Africa.
She won the 2009 South African Sunday Times Literary Award for The Rowing Lesson. She is also the author of The Devil’s Chimney, which was nominated for a PEN/Hemingway Award.
She lives in Manhattan with her husband and two children.
