Daniele Mastrogiacomo has covered national and international affairs for the Italian daily La Repubblica, reporting from some of the world’s most hostile places: Kabul, Teheran, Palestine, Baghdad, and Mogadishu, and others.
In 2006, he reported on the war in Lebanon between Israel and the Hezbollah. Days of Fear, about his kidnapping in Afghanistan while covering the war, is his first book. He was recently assigned to cover events following the earthquake in Haiti.
