Ian Buruma
Stefan Heijdendael
Ian Buruma is the Henry R. Luce Professor of Human Rights and Journalism at Bard College.

A British-Dutch writer based in New York, he is the author of many books, including Murder in Amsterdam, which won a Los Angeles Times Book Prize for the Best Current Interest Book, and Taming the Gods: Religion and Democracy on Three Continents, published in 2010.

He is the recipient of the Shorenstein Journalism Award and the Erasmus Prize. Foreign Policy selected him as one among the 100 top global thinkers of 2010.
