Alejandro Zambra
Alejandro Zambra is a poet and critic born in Santiago, Chile, in 1975.

His books include the poetry collections Useless Bay (1998) and Moving (2003), as well as the novel Bonsai (2006). Bonsai was awarded Chile’s Literary Critics’ Award for Best Novel and has been translated into French, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, Netherlands and English. His novel The Private Lives of Trees is forthcoming from Open Letter.

He currently teaches literature at the Diego Portales University in Santiago.
