Jeff Conner
I’m a 36-year-old student, writer, painter, and music lover finishing up an 18-year sentence at Washington State Reformatory Unit while finishing up my bachelor’s degree. I grew up in and graduated from Lake Stevens, Washington, and then joined the Army where I wanderlusted around Germany for a few years.

As an acrylic painter who gets extremely excited by what’s out there to be emulated, yet still hopes to consistently create something meaningful and original, I look at my fiction, memoir, and non-fiction writing in the same animated way. As ridiculous and perhaps trite as it sounds, I want my Frankenstein monster creations to be beautiful and moving.

When I write or paint not only do I, as the abused adage says, escape from this not altogether pleasant place, but I also hope to share something personal. Something funny. Something ironic. Something true.
