David Rieff is a contributing writer for the New York Times Magazine and a contributing editor to The New Republic.
He is the author of eight books, including Slaughterhouse: Bosnia and the Failure of the West, At the Point of a Gun, and the acclaimed A Bed for the Night: Humanitarianism in Crisis, which was named one of the 10 best nonfiction books of the year by the Los Angeles Times Book Review and was a finalist for the Helen Bernstein Award.
He lives in New York City and is currently working on a book on the global food crisis.
