Felman is a senior editor at Simon & Schuster and an editor and vice-president of Words Without Borders, which she helped found.
At Simon & Schuster, she works with both fiction and nonfiction authors, including the 2007 Man Booker nominee Indra Sinha, and Independent Foreign Fiction prize winner José Eduardo Agualusa.
Felman reads several languages and helped found The Front Table, a book-review web publication. She was a participant in the 2007 PEN World Voices Festival.
