Chester Phillips
Chester F. Phillips has worked as a rancher, fire lookout, delivery driver, Montessori assistant teacher, rainwater harvester, research assistant, environmental conflict-resolution intern, and freshman English instructor, among other things.

He is currently working on a PhD in collaborative conservation planning in the endangered San Pedro River watershed in southern Arizona. He is also revising a book length narrative chronicling his flight from small town East Texas and five years of homesteading in the wild Sonoran Desert in southern Arizona.
