Donna Barkman, an educator specializing in literature for young people, teaches at Bank Street College of Education in New York City and at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Barkman is the immediate past chair of the Jane Addams Children’s Book Award Committee and a member of the PEN's Children's/Young Adult Book Authors Committee.
