Forest Clayton
I’ve been writing poetry since I was 14, I grew up in Southern California. I was raised mostly by my mother who told beautiful stories, using very tantalizing language; that was used to push us children forward.

I try to do the same with my poetry. I try to paint vivid pictures of real life, I want to write words that wrap you up like a blanket, and gently kiss your soul. I’ve been incarcerated for 7 years, poetry has been my bread and water.
