I am a 40-year old playwright who has been incarcerated since 1989. In that time, I have earned from Alvin Community College an Associate of Arts degree and from the University of Houston, Clear Lake, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Behavioral Science and a Master of Arts in Literature. I am also a member of Sigma Tau Delta. In addition to winning First Place in Drama in the 2007 PEN Prison Writing Contest, I had in March 2007 a play, Secret Sunshine, staged and produced by Theatre Three of Port Jefferson, New York, as part of their Annual Festival of One-Act Plays.
