Jah Chemistry
I was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. (6/27/70), to Kathryn A. Gibbs and Winston P.A. Ebanks. I seemed to excel in school, played high school football, was a former employee of Important Record Dis. (C.B.S.) and also became a drug dealer. (What?) Yes, another story of an American kid turned upside down by easy money and myopic thinking. On May 15, 1990, I was arrested for murder after a brawl outside of a Lower East Side bar. I was found guilty and sentenced to 22 years to life. (To say I need help is an understatement.) My support group has been my strength of will, conscious mind and 15 years of writing poems. For more on me, please go to: www.myspace.com/counselofone & www.myspace.com/jahchemistry

I am the author of “Obsidian Castles & Third Eye Landscapes,” and co-author of “Fending Off Debutantes” with my brother King Chimera. I am currently working on 2 new books of poetry: For the Love of Pretty Words and DIVINITY. My new (completed) book PRIMEVAL BATTLE CRY should be out (hopefully) sometime this year.
