John Ashbery has published more than twenty books of poetry, including Chinese Whispers, Wakefulness, and Self-Portrait in a Convex Mirror, for which he received the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the National Book Award.
A former Chancellor of The Academy of American Poets, He serves on the contributing editorial board of the literary journal Conjunctions. He was a Millet Writing Fellow at Wesleyan University, in 2010, and participated in Wesleyan's Distinguished Writers Series.
