Edwidge Danticat
Nancy Crampton
Edwidge Danticat was born in Haiti and moved to the United States when she was twelve.

Danticat is the author of numerous books, including Breath, Eyes, Memory; Krik? Krak!, a National Book Award finalist; The Farming of Bones, an American Book Award winner; The Dew Breaker, a PEN/Faulkner Award finalist and winner of the first Story Prize; and most recently, Brother, I’m Dying, which won the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award, the National Book Critics Circle Award for Autobiography, and was a National Book Award Finalist.

She lives in Miami with her husband and daughter.
