Lieve Joris has published widely acclaimed books on the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. Her translated work includes Back to the Congo, The Gates of Damascus, and Mali Blues. Her latest book, The Rebels’ Hour, will be published in the United States in April 2008.
Lieve Joris was born in Belgium and now lives in Amsterdam.
