Cruz’s work has been produced Playwrights Horizons, INTAR, Brooklyn
Academy of Music, New York Shakespeare Festival’s Festival Latino, the Cleveland Play House,
Houston Grand Opera, and American Repertory Theater. Cruz was a recipient of 1991 and 1995 NEA
Playwriting Fellowships, a 1988 McKnight Fellowship, and a 1994 PEW/TCG National Artist in
Residency at Classic Stage Company.
