Kate Loewald is a cofounder and producer of The Play Company, a not-for-profit theatre company in New
York presenting an adventurous, international program of new plays and literary events. From 1990–99, she was head of the literary department at the Manhattan Theatre Club, overseeing programming and
creative development.
