Nuruddin Farah
Matsas Opale
Nuruddin Farah is the author of nine novels, most recently Knots and the Blood in the Sun trilogy: Maps, Gifts, and Secrets. In 2000, Farah penned Yesterday, Tomorrow, a narrative collection of tales from the Somali diaspora following the 1991 collapse of Mogadishu.

Farah was the 1998 laureate of the Neustadt International Prize for Literature and he was a participant in the 2005 PEN World Voices Festival.
