Marilyn Hacker is the author of eleven books of poems, most recently Essays on Departure: New and Selected Poems and Desesperanto. Her translations include Vénus Khoury-Ghata’s Nettles and She Says and Guy Goffette’s Charlestown Blues. She was awarded the Robert Fagles Translation Prize for Marie Étienne’s King of a Hundred Horsemen.
She lives in New York and Paris.
