Joseph Jeffrey Burgeson
I have been a prisoner of the state, and of myself, for much of my life. Now in recovery, I am learning the humanity to forgive myself; the state is another story.

Always a great reader, my education has been more informed by my eclectic reading habits than by any formal schooling. Gifted with an artistic sensitivity, I have written poetry for over 30 years, and am now trying my ability in other formats as well.

I look to serve the humanization of criminal justice, by proving the artificial nature of the term “criminal,” and the fallacy of the notion of a human equation inherent in the word “justice.”
