Nadeem Aslam
Jerry Bauer
Nadeem Aslam was born in Gujranwala, Pakistan in 1966 and immigrated to the U.K. when he was 14.

His most recent novel, The Wasted Vigil, was published by Alfred A. Knopf in September 2008.

He is also the author of two previous novels, both of which were longlisted for the Man Booker Prize: Season of the Rainbirds and Maps for Lost Lovers, which was a winner of the Kiriyama Prize and a New York Times Notable Book.

He is the recipient of a Lannan Literary Fellowship.
