Christopher Bakken
Christopher Bakken was born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1967.

He is the author of two books of poetry: Goat Funeral, which received the Helen C. Smith Memorial Prize from the Texas Institute of Letters for the best book of poetry in 2006; and After Greece, which was awarded the 2001 T.S. Eliot Prize in Poetry.

Bakken has also published nonfiction, and he was co-translator of The Lions' Gate: Selected Poems of Titos Patrikios.

He served as a Fulbright Scholar in American Studies at the University of Bucharest, Romania, in 2008, and he is an Associate Professor of English at Allegheny College in Pennsylvania.
