Kevin Prufer was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1969.
He is a poet and editor, and author most recently of National Anthem, which Publishers Weekly named one of the top 10 poetry books of 2008.
He has edited four anthologies, including New European Poets, with Wayne Miller. He also serves as editor of Pleiades: A Journal of New Writing, and as a member of the National Book Critics Circle board.
