Josep Maria Terricabras is Professor of Philosophy and head of the Ferrater Mora Chair of Contemporary Thought at the University of Girona.
He has published many scholarly works and translated into Catalan Wittgenstein’s Tractatus logico-philosophicus and Philosophical Investigations, Nietzsche’s Ecce homo, and Freud's The Uneasiness in Culture and Philosophy for Children.
Terricabras is a member of the Ethic Committee of Clinical Investigation of Josep Trueta Hospital; a past president of GRAMC, an interethnic association for receiving and integrating new immigrants; a member of Catalan PEN; and President of the Translations and Linguistic Rights Committee of International PEN.
He speaks fluent Catalan, Spanish, English, German, French and Italian. In 2003, Terricabras opened the highly trafficked philosophy website, Terricabras Filosofia.
