Adrian Tomine
Peter Stanglmayr
Adrian Tomine was born in Sacramento, California in 1974.

He is the cartoonist of The New York Times Notable Book Shortcomings, as well as Summer Blonde, and Sleepwalk and Other Stories.

Since 1991, he has written and drawn the comic book series Optic Nerve, and his work has appeared in publications such as The New Yorker, Esquire, The New York Times Magazine, Rolling Stone, and McSweeney’s.

He is the editor and designer of Yoshihiro Tatsumi’s short story collections The Push Man, Abandon The Old in Tokyo, and Good Bye, and the memoir A Drifting Life.

He lives in Brooklyn.
