Dick Cluster writes fiction and popular history, most recently The History
of Havana (with Rafael Hernández), covering five centuries of the Cuban capital.
He translates Latin American fiction, history, and politics. He has translated Aida Bahr, Mylene Fernández, Pedro de Jesús, Antonio José Ponte, and Abel Prieto (Cuba), Luis Alberto Acuña and José Miguel Varas (Chile), and Eric Frattini (Spain).
He teaches at the University of Massachusetts at Boston.
