Margalida Pons is a professor in the Catalan Department at University of Illes Balears, where she has been teaching Catalan Literature, Literary Theory, and Comparative Literature since 1996.
Her publications include Blai Bonet: maneres del color, Els poetes insulars de postguerra, (Des)aïllats: narrativa contemporània i insularitat a les Illes Balears, an anthology of Blai Bonet’s poetry, Textualisme i subversió: formes i condicions de la narrativa experimental catalana, and Poètiques de ruptura. She has also published two collections of poetry, Sis bronzes grisos d’alba and Les aus.
Margalida is currently a visiting professor of Catalan Studies at Brown University.
