Carrie Brownstein
Carrie Brownstein was born in Redmond, Washington in 1974.

She is a writer, musician, and former member of the rock band Sleater-Kinney.

Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Believer, Pitchfork, and numerous anthologies. She writes the music blog Monitor Mix for National Public Radio, and is a contributor to All Songs Considered. Brownstein is also part of the comedy duo ThunderAnt with Fred Armisen of Saturday Night Live.

Brownstein is currently living in Portland, Oregon, where she is working on her first book of nonfiction.
