Ram Devineni was born in Andhra Pradesh, India.
He is a filmmaker, and the founder and publisher of Rattapallax magazine. He co-founded the Academia Internacional de Cinema in Sao Paulo, and produced Amir Naderi’s Vegas: Based on a True Story, which premiered at the 2008 Venice Film Festival.
