Kathrin Röggla was born in Salzburg in 1971.
She writes theater, radio plays, and short fiction, and is the recipient of numerous literary prizes. She is author of the novels Abrauschen and wir schlafen nicht (we do not sleep), and her work has most recently appeared in English in Three Contemporary German Language Fiction
Writersand in NOON magazine.
She now lives in Berlin.
