John Hodgman
John Hodgman was born in Brookline, Massachusetts.

He is a contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine and wrote an advice column for McSweeney's for over a year entitled "Ask a Former Professional Literary Agent."

He established and hosts the monthly reading event "The Little Gray Book Lectures," which has been broadcast on This American Life. His first book, The Areas of My Expertise, was published in 2005.

He appears regularly on Jon Stewart's The Daily Show and lives in New York City with his wife and children on the Upper West Side.

Hodgman was a participant in the 2006 World Voices Festival.
