Dorota Masłowska
Dorota Masłowska was born 1983 in the Polish village of Wejcherowo.

At the age of 19, she won the 2003 Polityka Passport with Snow White and Russian Red, a book that depicts a group of Polish teenagers from the housing projects in their search for meaning and identity. The book is now being filmed by director Jan Jakub Kolski.

Masłowska's second novel, The Queen's Peacock, won Poland's highest literary award, the NIKE.

In 2006, her debut play, Two Poor Romanians Speaking Polish, was commissioned and staged by the TR Warsaw Theatre.

Masłowska has pursued cultural studies at Warsaw University and she currently collaborates with several magazines.
