Lemon Andersen’s book, County of Kings, was named Grand Prize Winner of the 2010 New York Book Festival. The book is based on his acclaimed one-man show, produced by Spike Lee and the Culture Project at the Public Theater.
An original cast member of Russell Simmons’ Def Poetry Jam on Broadway, Andersen has appeared in the movies The Soloist, Miracle at St. Anna, Sucker Free City, She Hate Me, and Inside Man.
His poetry has been featured in/on everything from radio spots, print ads, and the limited edition Absolut Brooklyn bottle.
