Jane O’Connor has always worked both sides of the fence in children’s books. She is an editor who has spent the past twenty years at Penguin where she was publisher of the mass market imprints and is currently editor at large, acquiring titles for Grosset and Dunlap and for Viking. She has also written more than fifty books for children, including the best-selling Fancy Nancy series, as well as an adult novel, Dangerous Admissions.
She lives in Manhattan on the Upper West Side where she was born and raised.
