Odile Cisneros
Odile Cisneros received a PhD in Spanish and Portuguese from NYU and now teaches in the Dept. of Modern Languages and Cultural Studies and the Program in Comparative Literature at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She co-edited Novas: Selected Writings of Haroldo de Campos (Evanston: Northwestern UP, 2007). She has translated the poetry of Régis Bonvicino, Haroldo de Campos, Rodrigo Rey Rosa, and Jaroslav Seifert, among others. In collaboration with Suzanne Jill Levine, she is currently working on a complete English translation of Galáxias by the Brazilian avant-garde poet Haroldo de Campos.
