Dubravka Ugresic

Dubravka Ugresic was born in 1949.

Ugresic is the author of several novels, short story collections, and essays. Her books—The Ministry of Pain, Lend Me Your Character, Thank You For Not Reading, The Museum of Unconditional Surrender, The Culture of Lies, Have a Nice Day, In the Jaws of Life and Other Stories, and Fording the Stream of Consciousness—have been translated in many European languages and received several international literary awards.

Ugresic is currently based in Amsterdam.
