Colm Tóibín
Colm Tóibín Colm Tóibín was born in Ireland in 1955.

He is the author of five novels including The Blackwater Lightship, shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 1999, and The Master, shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 2004, and winner of the Los Angeles Novel of the Year and the Prix du Meilleur Livre Etranger in France. His work has been translated in 25 languages. He is a regular contributor to the London Review of Books and The New York Review of Books. His nonfiction includes The Sign of the Cross: Travels in Catholic Europe (1994).
