David Grossman
|
David Grossman was born in Jerusalem in 1954.
Grossman's work has been translated into 25 languages. He is the author
of six internationally acclaimed novels, and two powerful journalistic
accounts, as well as a number of children's books and a play. Grossman
has been presented with numerous awards including Chevalier de l’Ordre
des Artes et des Lettres (France), Valumbrosa Prize (Italy), Prix
Eliette Von Karajan (Austria), Premio Grinzane (Italy), Premio Mondelo
(Italy), Vittorio de Sica Prize (Italy) the Marsh Award for Children’s
Literature in Translation (UK), the Juliet Club Prize (Italy), the
Buxtehuder Bulle 2001 (Germany) and the Sapir Prize (2001).
David Grossman lives with his wife and children in a suburb of Jerusalem. |
