Vera B. Williams
Vera B. Williams Vera B. Williams was born in California in 1927.

Williams, creator of many distinguished books for young readers, was the U.S. Illustrator Nominee for the 2004 Hans Christian Andersen Award. Her books include The Great Watermelon Birthday, Lucky Song, Three Days on a River in a Red Canoe, Something Special for Me, A Chair for My Mother, Music, Music for Everyone, and Cherries and Cherry Pits.
