PEN PODCASTS

Welcome to PEN podcasts, a new and convenient way to enjoy PEN American Center programming online.

Podcasting is the generic term for making audio content available for automatic download and later playback on your computer or portable devices. You “subscribe” to a podcast through music software like iTunes, and episodes are downloaded directly onto your computer when they are released, hassle-free and free of charge.

The podcasts produced by the PEN American Center will showcase exclusive online conversations, past programming from our Audio Archive, and live PEN events including PEN World Voices New York Festival of International Literature.

FIRST TIME?

Follow the instructions below:

1. Download and install podcast-friendly music software. There are many free programs designed specifically for listening to podcasts. See below.

2. Subscribe to the podcast by adding the address of the feed to your list of podcasts. This entails copying and pasting the following address when your podcasting software asks for it:

www.pen.org/penpodcasts/penpodcasts.xml

3. For iTunes users, click “Subscribe to Podcast” in the “Advanced” menu.

4. Listen and enjoy. The latest episode of the podcast should begin downloading to your computer automatically. Later you can download previous episodes, or take your favorite podcasts wherever you go!
