PEN American Center Members have access to two different group insurance plans. Both options require that a subscriber be self-employed, filing tax returns as a sole proprietor or as owner of a small-business entity. Tax returns must be submitted with the application.

The Entertainment Industry Group Insurance Trust (TEIGIT) offers health care insurance to PEN Members in New York State through Oxford Health Plans and GHI; New Jersey, Connecticut, Indiana, select counties in California, and the Greater Chicago area through CIGNA. TEIGIT is also a broker for Golden Rule Health Insurance in Texas, Virginia, Illinois, Georgia, Florida and Arizona.

TEIGIT also offers CIGNA HMO dental insurance, available in most parts of the country as well as long-term care insurance, international health and travel insurance, and disability.
