Ian Buruma
Ian Buruma Ian Buruma was born in the Netherlands in 1951.

Buruma lived and worked in Japan and Hong Kong for many years. He is the author of Bad Elements, The Missionary and the Libertine, Anglomania, A Japanese Mirror, God's Dust, The Wages of Guilt, and Playing the Game.

He writes regularly for publications such as The New York Times, The New York Review of Books, Newsweek, Le Monde, and Lettre International.
